If selected for this position you will serve as a Human Resource Specialist in the United States Attorney's Office, Northern District of Mississippi, Oxford Office. You will provide a variety of human resource management services in the following functional areas: recruitment and placement, position classification, employee development, benefits, employee relations and performance management, personnel security and compensation.
Typical duties include: Providing assistance in the administration of benefits programs Providing advice and assistance on performance management Ensuring all pre-employment security requirements are met for all levels of positions Identifying training and development needs Using automated staffing system to process applications and issue certificates Conducting research on federal HR laws and policies and applied findings to ensure compliance.
Utilizing HR information systems to track, monitor, and document HR case activity, personnel actions, or labor agreements. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
