This position provides pre employment services for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and starts at a salary of $55,012.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $87,482.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $126,859 (GS-12 Step 10). MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Identifying conditions of employment and required pre-employment qualifications and standards. Communicating in an accurate and courteous manner with applicants on pre-employment requirements and qualification determinations.
Utilizing various internal and external human resources software programs and systems to accurately track, monitor, and report on applicant pre-employment statuses. Providing advisory and consultant services to HR specialist and management on pre-employment requirements, including advising on the hiring actions and other required actions in accordance with merit promotion, delegated examining requirement, and veteran hiring.
Identifying, evaluating, and recommending to management appropriate human resources interventions to resolve complex interrelated human resources problems and issues.
