DCSA's Industrial Security Component is seeking a Industrial Security Specialist. In this role you will be responsible for handling Industrial Security Program (ISP) functions within the Field Office's Area of Responsibility (AOR), and to assist the Field Office Chief as necessary in day-to-day operations.
This position may be filled at either GG-11 or GG-12 grade level, please indicate the grade for which you want to be considered. Incumbent may be advanced non-competitively to the established target grade upon meeting developmental benchmarks, performance requirements, and other requirements, as applicable established for the career program or specifically for the incumbent.
As an INDUSTRIAL SECURITY SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: Utilizes advanced technical and critical thinking to identify, document, compose reports and communicate security program vulnerabilities and associated mitigation actions to internal/external stakeholders up to the senior executive level.
Demonstrates advanced competency of analysis methods, professional writing skills to complete comprehensive reports, and oral presentations with the ability to succinctly express ideas and concepts to internal/external stakeholders. Conducts recurring Security Reviews (SRs) of the cleared facilities with varying degrees of NISP complexity
If substituting education for experience at the GG-11 level, you must possess a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.M., if related. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. If substituting education for experience, transcripts MUST be provided. Failure to provide transcripts will result in you being rated ineligible for this position.
For the GG-12: Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level. Superior Academic Achievement does not apply to DCIPS positions.
