Displays knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies. Gathers equipment performance data, document and solve operational and maintenance trouble spots. Understands large scale multipurpose Automated Data Processing, IT systems, their operating systems and hardware configurations for us in evaluating and proposing new acquisitions to improve operating efficiency or solve processing/scheduling problems. Leads, coordinates, communicates, integrates, and is accountable for the overall success of the program, ensuring alignment with agency or enterprise priorities. Possesses knowledge of IT system operation, maintenance, and security needed to keep equipment functioning properly. Uses appropriate tools for repairing software, hardware, and peripheral equipment of a system. Shows extensive experience with operations and processes for incident problem, and event management. Identifies possible causes of degradation of system performance or availability and initiating actions needed to mitigate this degradation. This is a Non- Bargaining Unit Position.
