The Information Technology Specialist position manages all data that flows through the systems portfolio – most prominently (but not solely) ArchivesSpace. In this position, you will: Collect and design new system requirements and design and manage databases with a focus on Archives and Libraries collection management systems Perform process analysis, define requirements, promote quality assurance and assist with the development and documentation of fully automated archival workflows and systems. Perform analysis on data mapping from multiple data sources, program and implement data transformation for multiple data types including XML and JSON-LD, review data quality, and make recommendations for improvement. Provide project support in accordance with appropriate project management (PM) and system development life cycle management (LCM) principles; technical support in the selection, procurement, design, implementation, system administration, maintenance, and/or enhancement of advanced technology application systems, and projects
There is no education requirement for this position. Education can not be used as a substitute in lieu of specialized experience at the GS-12 level.
