This position is located in Anniston, Alabama at the Center for Domestic Preparedness. The ideal candidate will have experiential and theoretical knowledge of current Information Technology (IT) concepts, protocols, principals, and methods to include but not limited to maintenance of server software, hardware, databases, cloud hosting, security, and interoperability.
What will I do in this position if hired? In this position, you will serve as an Information Technology Specialist (Sys Admin). Typical assignments include: Performing system administration duties for a Windows based Nutanix and VMWare platform. Maintaining hardware virtual hosts and virtualized on-premise/cloud hybrid environment. Monitoring, analyzing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and securing all relevant systems and applications.
Maintaining security applications for vulnerability monitoring, mitigation, access control, and detection. Performing system administration duties for Disaster Recovery preparation, response, and recovery, to include maintenance of procedural and evidential documentation. What else do I need to know? Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
