Job Summary
You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/NETWORK) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT ORG: ITD of NAVAL SUBMARINE SUPPORT FACILITY.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve as the technical authority for systems administration, developing and executing long-range strategic plans for disaster recovery, enterprise backup strategies, and system modernization.
Requirements & Education
All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions. Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. GS-12: There are no educational substitutions for specialized experience for GS-12. GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree. A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
