Job Summary

Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade.
Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.
Key Responsibilities
The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) officer is directly responsible to the Unit Commander to manage the Commander's Inspection Program (CCIP) for the wing/group. Serves as the unit point of contact for the coordination and execution of the Unit Effectiveness Inspection (UEI). Responsible for integrating supporting inspection/events into unit activities. Supervisory duties are performed less than 25 percent of the work year.
Additionally, trains Reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTY #1: Manages the Unit Effectiveness Inspection Program. Oversees, plans and executes Unit Effectiveness Inspection program. DUTY#2: Plans, schedules, and executes inspections and exercises. Develops, plans, executes, and controls inspections and exercises to accurately assess unit effectiveness and readiness. DUTY#3 : Leads/trains/manages Wing Inspection Team (WIT). Serves as WIT Chief.
Ensures WIT personnel are properly selected and trained. DUTY #4: Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies and support system concepts. DUTY #5: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities less than 25% of the time.
