Job Summary

The position is located in the Court Services and Offender Supervision Agency (CSOSA) for the District of Columbia, Office of Behavioral Interventions (OBI), within the Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Unit (ICBIU). The Agency works closely with the criminal justice system and community partners to provide comprehensive services that support the fair administration of justice, increase public safety, prevent crime, and reduce recidivism.

Key Responsibilities

This announcement is for two vacancies: Intake Coordinator Intake Coordinator (DVIP) - Domestic Violence Intervention Program Intake Coordinator Brief Description of Duties: The Intake Coordinator supports the Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Unit (ICBIU) by conducting and coordinating intake activities for supervisees referred to or ordered into in-house cognitive-behavioral programming.

The incumbent reviews supervision records, assessments, toxicology results, and court documentation to determine eligibility and appropriate intervention pathways. The person in this position conducts intake interviews, schedules required assessments and enrolls supervisees into the correct interventions based on criminogenic needs and Risk-Need-Responsivity (RNR) principles.

The Intake Coordinator maintains timely and accurate case documentation in SMART, monitors participation and progress across interventions, and works closely with Community Supervision Officers and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate case movement, address barriers, and support discharge planning.

The incumbent prepares routine reports, assists with program operations and quality assurance activities, and serves as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding referrals, eligibility, enrollment status, and program requirements.

Intake Coordinator (DVIP) Brief Description of Duties: The Domestic Violence Intake Coordinator supports the Domestic Violence Intervention Program (DVIP) by conducting intake interviews, gathering required documentation, and assisting with eligibility determinations for supervisees referred to or court-ordered into domestic-violence programming.

The incumbent updates and maintains case records in SMART, schedules intake appointments and group sessions, and communicates with Community Supervision Officers, court personnel, victim-service providers, and program staff to coordinate enrollment and monitor compliance. The position assists with tracking attendance, documenting case activity, reporting safety concerns, and supporting routine program operations to ensure accurate records and timely service delivery.

PASS/FAIL COURSES: If more than 10 percent of your undergraduate course work (credit hours) were taken on a pass/fail basis, your claim of superior academic achievement must be based upon class standing or membership in an honor society. GRADUATE EDUCATION: One academic year of graduate education is considered to be the number of credits hours your graduate school has determined to represent one academic year of full-time study.

Such study may have been performed on a full-time or part-time basis. If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
