THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0609000 and is part of the IL 183 WG, National Guard.
As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (TITLE 32), GS-0132-12, you will develop, plan and manage the intelligence training and readiness program, ensuring that is meets the requirements set forth in applicable policy and regulations and produces trained and qualified Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (ISRD) personnel ready to augment MAJCOM deployable AOCs worldwide at the operational level of war.
Major Duties - This is NOT an all-inclusive list: Serve as the unit's subject matter expert on Air and Space Operations Center (AOC) / Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Division (ISRD) processes, including Predictive Analysis, Targeting, and Combat Assessment. Apply expert knowledge of threat/friendly weapons systems and collection assets to inform target analysis, selection, and weaponeering.
Develop and refine Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and Concepts of Operations (CONOPS) to resolve intelligence problems. Develop, plan, and manage the intelligence training and readiness program for the Air Intelligence Squadron (AIS) to support the AOC. Oversee the development of training objectives, lesson plans, and evaluation standards to ensure personnel are positionally trained and certified.
Evaluate AIS members' training, conducts trend analysis, and recommends changes in priority to satisfy essential training requirements. Coordinate training requirements and operational assignments with MAJCOMs, Numbered Air Forces (NAFs), and national-level intelligence agencies to align with emerging AOC needs. Represent the unit to make commitments and agreements with outside agencies for missions and special exercises.
Coordinate with a wide variety of counterparts, from junior specialists to higher-level officials across the Department of Defense. Act as the primary advisor to the AIS Commander or Senior Intelligence Officer (SIO) on AOC/ISRD TTPs, intelligence systems, and operational readiness. Provide technical oversight, career guidance, and performance evaluation input for full-time and traditional intelligence personnel.
Give professional guidance and technical assistance to junior intelligence specialists and serves as a coordinator for projects undertaken with other units.
