Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to accomplish intelligence functions in support of programs essential to state AFRC daily operations, training, & readiness missions. Also, trains reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth. Position may be eligible for DCIPS STEM TLMS

Key Responsibilities

1. Performs assigned operational intelligence research and analysis and trends and based on thorough understanding of the significance of conditions and trends, develops and projects data and draws meaningful conclusions and clear estimates based on current and past intelligence situations. Provides detailed threat analysis for mission planning and pre-mission briefings to the Mission Planning Cell (MPC).

2: Provides Force Protection (FP) intelligence support to commanders and their staff through current, all source intelligence products and briefings, focusing on terrorist capabilities, tactics, trends, courses of action and ongoing threat situation in the unit's area of interest. Serves as a primary intelligence specialist assigned to the unit's Threat Working Group (TWG). 3: Serves as the unit authority on all aspects of internal intelligence training.

Works with the intelligence senior ART/program manager in planning and organizing an intelligence program that provides timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations. 4: Participates with the intelligence program manager in the establishment and management of the unit intelligence mobility program. Develops scenarios for unit training missions.

Creates and updates Threat of the Day files for mission planning study for peacetime and contingency operations. 5: Supports the intelligence program manager in planning and organizing an intelligence program that has the capability to provide timely and accurate operational intelligence support and fully trained intelligence personnel during peacetime and contingency operations.

Plans, develops, and manages work schedules for intelligence activities during all phrases of unit operations, i.e., Unit Training Assemblies (UTA), Annual Training (AT), and unit deployments. Represents the unit regarding intelligence program policies, procedures, and issues.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
