The primary purpose of this position is: Serve as an experienced intelligence specialist engaging in the complex technical collection and reporting of information obtained from multi-intelligence sources, through various means, related to political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, scientific, and/or military conditions, trends, and forces directly/indirectly affecting national security.
DUTY 1: Serves as a multi-source intelligence collection specialist working complex collections and operations assignments. Situations/information collected and reported on are not susceptible to generally accepted methods and requires use of independent judgment and experience to develop new methods, approaches, and procedures. DUTY 2: Presents ISR capabilities to a variety of service, national, and coalition customers. Provides Commanders and other customers the intelligence information and evaluation derived from ISR assets to maximize their own forces' effectiveness by optimizing friendly force strengths, exploiting adversary weaknesses, and countering adversary strengths. DUTY 3: Conducts complex research, evaluation, collection, dissemination and fusion of multi-source information from one or more intelligence disciplines to satisfy a broad range of customer requirements. DUTY 4: Plans and directs ISR operations. Plans, directs and integrates functions to provide ISR intelligence and situational awareness necessary to successfully plan and conduct operations in support of combatant commanders and other customers within the assigned areas of responsibility. DUTY 5: Serves as a functional authority on ISR issues. Makes recommendations and defends decisions on operational policy matters to the Director and AF ISR Agency staff, and is often required to make recommendations on This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position aligned under authorities of Section 1601, Chapter 83 of Title 10, United States Code and DoD Instruction 1400.25-V2007.
