The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a signals intelligence specialist engaging in the processing & exploitation of semi-complex to complex information obtained from multi-intelligence sources, through various means, related to political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, scientific, and military conditions, trends, & forces that directly/indirectly affect national security.
Performs duties involving the processing and exploitation intelligence information of semi-complex to complex in nature that are not susceptible to generally accepted methods. Presents SIGINT semi-complex to complex capabilities to service, national, and coalition customers within defined areas of responsibility. Serves as a functional expert on SIGINT processing and exploitation issues.
Makes recommendations on operational matters used to initiate management actions to revise policy to commit Agency funds or resources. Accomplishes professional development and maintains technical proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development organizations, and participation in formal training program.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
