Facilities Management is looking to fill a Interior Designer - Intermittent - Not to Exceed 1-year with possible extension. As the Interior Designer you will be responsible for planning, implementation and operational management of a complete Interior Design Program at the Phoenix VA Healthcare system. This required planning and coordinating the activities of other individuals, commercial vendors and to serve as liaison.

Duties of the position include but are not limited to: Providing complete, from concept to installation, interior design services for the organization to include satellite facilities. Planning, consulting, advising, doing specification, and designing for virtually all spaces involved in new construction and/or renovation; reviews Architect/Engineer submittals for compliance with VA regulations and facility design criteria.
Acting as a technical representative for design and finish specifications matters. Developing and maintaining a schedule of short and long range interior-improvement projects for the facility through the 5-year interior design plan and other programs to identify existing and future project needs. Representing the facility at various design-trade functions and maintains an effective rapport with design-industry vendors and/or representatives.
Responding to Requests, complaints, etc. related to interior design and moves. Advising the supervisor of suitable responses to deficiencies in design functions where applicable.
