Key Responsibilities

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level. If this vacancy includes more than one grade and you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and receive training to help you grow in this position.

Leads the team in identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; adjusting accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product Researches, learns and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products Performs reviews of various TE/GE issue identification and compliance strategy programs against established strategic goals and identifies improvements to relative functional processes and systems to achieve targets, tracks, and updates data required to support the analyses or studies Performs analysis and provides oversite and guidance in phases of TE/GE's Issue submission, issue identification, development, and compliance strategy processes Develops automated, standardized management reports for TE/GE Examination and Rulings and Agreement functions to ensure consistency and accuracy STANDARD POSITION DESCRIPTIONS (SPD): PD24588 Visit the IRS SPD Library to access the position descriptions.

Requirements & Education

A college or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to Department of Education Accreditation page. FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.

You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
