Job Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General, Office of Investigations, Special Investigations Branch. Resumes must be no more than 2-pages in length. Term Appointment for three years.
Key Responsibilities
This is an Investigator vacancy within the Office of Investigations, Special Investigations Branch. Duties include but are not limited to: Plans, coordinates, conducts and leads civil and administrative investigations. Support Special Agents in conducting criminal investigations at the direction of the Assistant Special Agent in Charge. Responsible for conducting investigations of Whistleblower Reprisal. Advises staff and acts as a training investigator.
Identify special training needs of staff members and confer with supervisor. Develops training materials and guidelines. Make presentations at regional office meetings and at training conferences for the nationwide investigative staff and other agencies. Coordinates and communicates orally and in writing with officials inside and outside the Department.
Provides program and policy direction necessary to accomplish all investigative work requirements, and to ensure compliance with all legal requirements and OI policies and procedures.
