Job Summary
This position is located in the Cybersecurity Modernization and Privacy Branch (CMPB). This is a term appointment NTE two years. The appointment may be extended without further competition, in increments determined by the agency, up to the maximum period permitted under 5 CFR 316.301. Positions covered by 5 CFR 316.301 (c) may be extended up to a maximum of 10 years from the date of initial appointment.
Key Responsibilities
The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia. Presence at the Alexandria, VA campus is required for this role, as it includes on site functions that must be performed in person. Position may be eligible for situational telework in accordance with agency policy/business unit discretion. The agency currently allows for 52 hours of telework per calendar year. You are enthusiastic about providing support for USPTO cybersecurity activities and compliance and assist as appropriate to ensure USPTO success. 2. You are motivated to serve as a subject-matter expert on emerging policy priorities in relation to privacy and cybersecurity. 3. You are driven to develop and implement cybersecurity policies to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of USPTO networks and systems. 4.
You enjoy establishing and maintaining positive and productive working relationships between OCIO partners who meet regularly to address specific Cybersecurity security issues or concerns.
