Job Summary

This position is located in the Technology Strategy & Modernization Branch, Enterprise Architecture Division, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Federal Election Commission. The Technology Strategy & Modernization Branch functions as the agency's modernization engine, aligning enterprise architecture, artificial intelligence (AI), emerging technologies, data modernization, and disciplined portfolio governance to deliver secure, scalable, compliant, and mission-aligned IT capabilities.

Major Duties

This position provides the Federal Election Commission (FEC) the technological support as the IT Branch Chief, leading the agency's enterprise IT modernization and AI transformation efforts, providing executive leadership and strategic direction. As the IT Project Manager (ENTARCH) in this position, you will: Develop long term modernization and AI adoption roadmaps. Oversee multi-year IT investment planning and lifecycle cost management. Chair governance and investment review boards. Integrate enterprise risk management and cybersecurity into modernization initiatives. Ensure compliance with federal IT statutes, capital planning requirements, and evolving AI governance policies. Supervise IT staff and cross-functional teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure modernization initiatives are executed effectively, responsibly, and in alignment with agency priorities.

Education

There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-14 grade level of this announcement.
