As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC) 'Information System Security Officer (ISSO)' GS-2210-13, you will be responsible for: Overseeing the implementation of information technology (IT) security controls and security authorization documents to assure the system is compliant with mandated security policies and requirements. Providing security analysis of IT activities to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place and being enforced and remediated as needed.
Recognizing a possible security violation and takes appropriate action to report the incident as required and takes corrective measures to rectify a cybersecurity incident. Ensuring that all system modifications, acquisitions, and outsourcing efforts address information security requirements consistent with organizational goals. Continuously validating the system against policies/ guidelines/ procedures/ regulations/ laws to ensure compliance.
