Job Summary

This position is located in Division of Resolutions and Receiverships (DRR) and is responsible for engage in planning and implementing financial institution technical and operational closing and post-closing resolution strategies, as well as data mining projects or other technical projects to facilitate effective receivership and divisional operations. Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill identical vacancies that arise later.

Major Duties

Serves as a specialist in the bank resolution process, performing the role of Information Technology (IT) Manager for institutions in various stages of the resolution process. Leads the pre-closing due diligence review at assigned failing financial institutions developing an in-depth knowledge of the enterprise architecture, network infrastructure, operating system and application security, applications software, electronic banking, backroom operations, website or web portal for large financial institutions that involves privacy, access, and authentication issues; e.g., access to customer financial institution files, personnel records, and etc. Prepares a strategic resolution plan for managing and controlling system security, data processing, item processing and other system applications including the transactional web portal, web pages and e-banking. Develops and maintains technical and analytical program and administrative reference materials, project files, and relevant background documents. Serves as the Oversight Manager or Technical Monitor overseeing the work of contractors and ensuring that proper controls are in place, that contracting rules and procedures are followed, that task order objectives are met, and that the use of Corporate/Receivership funds is in accordance with established procedures.
