The primary purpose of this position is to perform technical assessments and certification of DoD-wide Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITWAA), Theater Event System (TES), Shared Early Warning System (SEWS), and Missile Defense (MD) systems focusing on the Situation Monitoring (SM) Mission Essential Function.
Plans, organizes, and conducts Technical Assessments and Certifications, ensuring that Missile Defense, TES, SEWS, ITWAA and NC3 Certification complies with legal and regulatory requirements, and meets customer needs. Serves as ITWAA TES, SEW, and Missile Defense technical expert in Systems Certification (Technical Integrity) and testing.
Provides guidance to the test and evaluation community, and the program community for the completion of engineering, development, and sustainment activities in support of verification of system integrity and certification during acquisition, sustainment, modernization, and operational phases. Represents the NC3 Enterprise Center in a variety of command and functional area activities.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Cyber Excepted Service (CES) position implemented under Section 1599f of Title 10, United States Code (U.S.C). This position is in the Excepted Service.
