The primary purpose of this position is to perform technical assessments and certification of DoD-wide Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment (ITWAA), Theater Event System (TES), Shared Early Warning System (SEWS), and Missile Defense (MD) systems focusing on the Situation Monitoring (SM) Mission Essential Function.
Plans, organizes, and conducts Technical Assessments and Certifications, ensuring that Missile Defense, TES, SEWS, ITWAA, and NC3 Certification complies with legal and regulatory requirements, and meets customer needs. Serves as ITWAA TES, SEW, and Missile Defense technical expert in Systems Certification (Technical Integrity) and testing. Provides guidance to the test and evaluation community, and the program community for the completion of engineering, development, and sustainment activities in support of verification of system integrity and certification during acquisition, sustainment, modernization, and operational phases. Represents the NC3 Enterprise Center in a variety of command and functional area activities. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with counterparts and senior management officials at NEC HQ, USSTRATCOM, USAF HQ, Joint Functional Component Commands, other Combatant Commands (COCOMs), North American Aerospace Defense Command, United States Space Force Space Operations Command, Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Command, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), Office Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Staff (JCS), Department of Defense (DoD), other agencies, academia, or with the contractor.
