Job Summary

This position serves as a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) located in the Department of Justice, Chief Information Officer, Service Delivery Staff, Law Enforcement Services Directorate in Washington, DC. The primary purpose of this position is to support the administration, modernization, security, and continuous improvement of DOJ-OCIO biometric capabilities and national crime information systems, including JABS, CAS, JBIS, and the Disposition Reporting Service (DRS).

Key Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSADMIN) GS-2210-12/13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Supports the operation and modernization of enterprise biometric capabilities and national crime information systems, including JABS, CAS, JBIS, and the Disposition Reporting Service (DRS). Evaluates contractor technical documentation, implementation activities, and operational performance.

Supports the development, maintenance, testing, and implementation of continuity of operations, disaster recovery, contingency planning, backup, and restoration capabilities. Evaluates compliance findings and technical vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions to improve the security and resilience of enterprise information systems. Participates in systems integration, interoperability testing, configuration management, and operational improvement initiatives.

Requirements & Education
