This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Readiness Support Officer (OCRSO). The primary purpose of this position is focusing on information security (INFOSEC) and system's analysis (SYSANALYSIS) within the Systems and Information Integration Office (Sl2O) of the Office of the Chief Readiness Support (OCRSO).. SI2O delivers and facilitates data and information sharing to enable insights, innovation, performance measurement and strategic decision making for the Department's mission support operations. With a focus on data science, analytics, reporting, data and information sharing and governance, and mission support, SI2O strives to build a culture of data driven decision making and to enhance the workforce's ability to leverage data and analytics. The primary purpose of this position is to lead the SI2O Capabilities Branch. As a IT Specialist (INFOSEC/SYSANALYST), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Providing support to the Sl2O team in identifying, collecting and analyzing data, enhancing decision-making by generating reports / dashboards using visual applications and analytical software tools, and ensuring information and systems security compliance with DHS security and privacy policies. Applying analytical processes to planning, designing, and implementing new and improved information management functionality to meet the business requirements of the DHS Cube. Assisting with developing tailored data plans for source systems to improve how the DHS Cube collects, uses, manages and publishes data within and across functions.
