Job Summary

You will serve as a Laborer (Seasonal) in the Division of Maintenance at Joshua Tree National Park. Open to the first 30 applicants.

Key Responsibilities

Major Duties include: Operate heavy power equipment such gas powered toters, portable power tools, and all types of trail hand tools (such as shovels, Mccloude's, Pulaski's etc.) to maintain park wide trail, and trail corridors. Load and unload suppliess and materials from trucks, trailers, dollies, etc., and move furniture. Remove and set up signs, paint signs, hike on uneven terrain carrying a 50-pound pack.

Use and maintain heavy type power tools, including adjusting blades, cleaning, and oiling. Perform basic trail maintenance.

Requirements & Education

There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
