The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the medical center's laundry services within Environmental Management Services. The position reports directly to the Laundry Plant Manager and provides both technical and administrative supervision to subordinate employees.
Key Responsibilities
Duties: Ensure the pressure is adjusted correctly on the rolls of the flatwork irone. Counsel employees and recommends disciplinary actions of subordinates when required. Work with team to ensure operations are effective. Supervise employees, manage leave and performance issues. Make routine decisions and answers employees' questions regarding procedures and machineoperation.
Submit necessary records, reports as required, submit request for supplies and prepare formsfor turn-in unserviceable linen clothing. Lead and instruct employees on the proper use and care of equipment and linen handlingmethods. Adheres to the Equal Opportunity Program and investigates grievances and/or complaints toresolve them informally. Ensure employees receive pertinent safety training.. Ensure conveyor belts are intact, properly adjusted, and clipper lacing is intact.
