This position is located in Radiology/Imaging Services Long Beach, CA. The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist performs a variety of fixed, fluoroscopic, and portable radiographs according to department and DRT quality standards. The technologist will perform examinations the level that was determined according to DRT Quality Standards
Duties Include, but are not limited to: - The DRT Lead performs a full range of diagnostic radiographic examinations while serving as the primary technical lead within the Diagnostic Imaging Service. - The incumbent also performs screening and diagnostic mammography examinations - including digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) - on a regular and recurring basis, constituting approximately 25 percent of the overall workload.
- DRTs perform procedures and examinations in hospitals 4 or clinics under the direction of radiologists and other medical officers.
- Provides a full range of general radiologic imaging exams, has a general knowledge of the different modalities within the diagnostic radiologic area, and is accountable to the next higher-level supervisor - Functions as a lead DRT for a group of DRTs at the full performance level and below, providing input on performance, resolving daily workplace issues, and maintaining efficient workflow Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
