The primary purpose of this position is to lead the Service Contract Technician personnel assigned to the Service Contracts Section in support of operations, maintenance and repair requirements.
Distributes and balances the workload among Contracts Service Technician and contract oversight personnel in accordance with established workflow or job specialization; assures timely accomplishments of the assigned workload and assures that each employee has enough work. Manages the base civil engineer squadron service contracts program to include developing and executing statements of work (SOW/SON) for new, one-time only, and recurring service contracts.
Provides technical assistance to contracting and other organizations within the civil engineer squadrons on pre-award and post award matters. Develops, maintains and applies computerized data files and management tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Service Contracts section by researching, procuring, and applying the latest computer technology.
Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
