Job Summary

This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for management of large load shipments, commercial cargo shipments, and commercial personnel travel plans in support of the Agency's Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) mission.

Key Responsibilities

As a LEAD TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-2130-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Ensures organizations strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and Integrated into the teams strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services Keeps team abreast of changes to assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and any new deadlines and time frames for completion Provides advice on work methods, practices and procedures when deemed necessary Identifies, distributing and balancing workloads and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization and ensures that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product Assists the supervisor in determining the training of team members in methods and techniques of team building and working in teams to accomplish tasks or projects, and provide or arrange for specific administrative or technical training necessary for accomplishment of individual and team tasks Reports to the supervisor the status and progress of work and any issues or problems that need to be brought to the supervisor's attention

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
