Assists providers with specialty-specific procedures (e.g., wound care, splinting/orthopedic support, dermatology procedures, ENT scope setup, ophthalmology screenings, podiatry care tasks) following established sterile, infection- control, and safety protocols Demonstrates independent workflow management within scope by prioritizing patient care needs, coordinating clinic flow, and effectively communicating patient status and concerns to Registered Nurses, providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Maintains clinic readiness and compliance by ensuring rooms, instruments, and specialty equipment are clean, stocked, and safe; adheres to infection-control, environmental safety, and regulatory standards. Supports patient education and follow-up by reinforcing provider instructions, completing secure messages and telephone encounters within scope, and promoting continuity of care across multi-specialty surgical clinics.
