The incumbent serves as the Licensed Professional Mental Health Counselor Program Manager for the Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) Mental Health Service Line.
Major Duties: Mental Health Outpatient programming is a significant component of whole health care offered at the Wausau CBOC. The program component managed in the Mental Health Outpatient Clinic are considerable scope, size, and complexity, and may include management of psychiatrists, psychologist, social workers, nurses, licensed professional counselors, and peer support. Supervisor responsibilities include hiring, performance evaluations, time, and leave, disciplinary action, and monitoring of productivity standards. Policies and procedures are closely monitored to inform ongoing strategic planning and performance improvement activities. The incumbent manages patient complaints and compliments informally and formally through systems such as PATS-R and congressional responses. The Licensed Professional Mental Health Program Manager has line and staff authority for resource allocations within the Mental Heath Outpatient Clinic. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm Telework: Adhoc Telework - VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies.
