You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND SSU Guam of MSC SHIP SUPPORT UNIT GUAM.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide Contracting Officer Representative management and oversight for all husbanding supplies and services provided by the Regional Husbanding Support Provider.
Requirements & Education
This position does not require education. Additional Information: The work is both sedentary (normal office environment) and physical, requiring the incumbent to travel to and work in a shipboard environment. Incumbent is required to perform some work aboard ships which includes walking, standing, lifting and bending. The work requires the incumbent to travel approximately 30 percent.
Most of the work is performed at a typical office setting with adequate heating, lighting, and ventilation. As required, there may be a need to ride a ship for short periods as practical in the applicable Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR). This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. Tour of duty will be 24-months.
