This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Acq Demo Business and Technical Management to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
As a Logistics Management Specialist at the NH-0346-3 broadband level, some of your typical work assignments may include: Assist with the direction, development, and performance of multi-functional logistics management operations that include planning, coordinating and evaluating the logistics actions required to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) goals and mission.
Identify the specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services required to support the Program Manager's (PM) cost, schedule and performance objectives. Correlate PM objectives with program plans to ensure required logistics support is provided at the right time and place.
Coordinate and evaluate logistics support to identify and execute specific requirements, identify and mitigate risk, and develop and adjust plans and schedules for the actions required to meet each requirement on time. Coordinate with higher level specialists to jointly research and develop readiness and logistics plans, strategies, and procedures focusing on delivering a MDS capability that is effective, efficient, and supportable to meet operational requirements.
Facilitate the development and execution of comprehensive physical inventory plans to ensure floor-to-book and book-to-floor accuracy.
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
