You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic Leader with the National Park Service at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. This position is a working leader assigned responsibility for building and utility maintenance work. The position provides daily direction to at least three (3) workers to accomplish trades work on a regular and recurring part of the job and exercised on a substantially full time and continuing basis.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Ability to lead a crew of 6 or more subordinates in repair and maintenance upkeep of park facilities Diagnose and repair HVAC issuues through out the park Use journeyman level carpentry, plumbing and electrical skills to diagnose and repair park facilities Helps supervisor identify maintenance deficiencies throughout the park Responds to work order request in a timely manner to keep up with facilities maintenance repair needs
Requirements & Education
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.

The posted pay range is $34.47 – $40.19/hr.
