Job Summary

You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic Leader (Seasonal). This position is a working leader assigned responsibility for building and utility maintenance work. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty is March-September but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

Key Responsibilities

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: As a working leader performs and leads work in the following trades: Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Masonry, Wastewater Treatment, Water Treatment Plant Operations, Roofing, or Electrical. The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair and construction of facilities including historic structures and resources.

Produce finished products with precise fits, accurate dimensions, and acceptable appearance. Lay out plumbing, carpentry and Masonry projects. Works from complex instructions, blueprints, sketches and building codes.

Requirements & Education

There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
