You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor with the National Park Service at Rocky Mountain National Park. You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 2 nights per month. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Plans, assigns, directs, reviews, and evaluates the work of a multi-disciplinary trades and labor workforce performing facility maintenance and operations throughout the Colorado River District.
Manages district facility operations and maintenance for buildings, utilities, roads, fleet and equipment, campgrounds, grounds, and related infrastructure, including preventive, corrective, cyclic, and deferred maintenance work. Plans and manages work schedules, staffing, materials, equipment, training, budgets, work orders, condition assessments, and facility management data; develops scopes of work and coordinates contracted services and facility projects.
Directs safe operation and maintenance of potable water and wastewater systems, mechanical/electrical/plumbing systems, roads, heavy equipment, fleet, and seasonal/emergency operations including snow removal, storm response, and hazard mitigation.
Performs full supervisory and administrative responsibilities including performance management, leave and payroll approval, employee development, safety program implementation, recruitment support, and coordination with park divisions, partners, concessioners, and service providers.
