This is a temporary position expected to last one year, but may be extended up to maximum of two years based on agency needs and potential funding.
Key Responsibilities
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Perform carpentry repairs using simple measures and hand tools to replace broken planks on picnic tables, broken windows using precut stock; make minor adjustments, or replace hinges, latches, and catches. Perform minor painting using brush and roller according to specific instructions on projects.
Perform minor plumbing repairs, such as tightening or replacing in-kind fittings and fixtures; replace faucet washers; unplug drains using a plunger; replace liquid petroleum gas bottles. Perform routine maintenance on campground sites and trails using hand tools to re-grade and reset barriers to restore areas to original appearances. Collect trash. Clean and service chemical toilets, restrooms, and other campground or visitor facilities. Make minor repairs as needed.
Operate a forklift to load and unload supplies and light equipment not requiring special rigging.
Requirements & Education
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.

The posted pay range is $19.21 – $22.39/hr.
