You will serve as a Maintenance Worker for the Timpanogos Cave National Monument with National Park Service. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as permanent appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work for approximately 22 pay periods, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Perform work of limited scope or difficulty involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings and associated utilities. Assist journeyman and higher graded maintenance workers in performing more difficult assignments associated with the traders of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and related trades. Perform basic repairs on buildings, utilities and grounds including minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
