You will serve as a Maintenance Worker Supervisor (MVO) with National Park Service. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will be in a non-pay status from mid-January to late-January during your first service year, and work for the reminder of the Year.
As a Maintenance Worker Supervisor (MVO) you will perform the following duties: Performs routine cleaning and servicing, routine maintenance, and making minor repairs of park resources. Plans and schedules daily work assignments. Plans and schedules annual park housing units cleaning. Manages and procures supplies, materials, and equipment. Cleans and services park facilities, visitor centers, and comfort stations. Performs annual cleaning and servicing of seasonal housing units. Coordinates integrated pest management (IPM) activities and contracted services. Performs minor repairs of plumbing fixtures, carpentry, and painting. Operates a light duty truck/van to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites.
There is no substitution of education for experience for Federal Wage System (FWS) positions.
