Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol Headquarters, Strategic Planning and Analysis Directorate, Operations Requirements, located in Washington, D.C. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will apply analytical, program management, and coordination skills to support capability development, requirements management, and resource-informed decision making. Your work will identify operational needs and capability gaps, inform mission critical initiatives, and improve operational performance across USBP. This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $158,322.00 (GS-13, Step 10).

As a Management and Program Analyst, typical duties include: Leading complex analytical efforts to develop, review, and maintain mission-critical requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic goals. Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify and prioritize capability gaps, employing advanced analytical techniques to support data-driven decision making.

Coordinating with headquarters, field units, and stakeholders to align requirements and capability analysis activities with operational priorities, managing project plans and deliverables. Producing and delivering clear, actionable reports, briefings, and decision materials for senior leaders, utilizing visualizations and summaries to communicate key insights and recommendations.

Managing multi-office review processes, incorporating stakeholder feedback and recommending process improvements to enhance the consistency, efficiency, and traceability of requirements and analysis activities.
