Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Office of Finance, Investment Analysis Division, Strategic Business Transformation Branch, located in Washington, DC. The incumbent serves as a Management & Program Analyst located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of the Commissioner (OC), Office of Finance (OF). Serves as an analyst or advisor to executive management on a major mission or administrative program requiring application of a wide range of qualitative system and management support principles, processes, and systems.
Those can include, but are not limited to budget methodology and control, statistical research and performance measurement, information systems, management techniques and theories, organizational structure, planning and control systems, and public and congressional liaison, policy and other programs, impacting the total office. This position starts at a salary of $121,785.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to $187,093.00 (GS-14, Step 10) with promotion potential to $187,093 (GS-14 Step 10).
Major Duties include: Planning, conducting and/or participating in special studies or task forces, while providing expert assistance to headquarters and field offices. Working closely with stakeholders to define the end-state vision for collection platform modernization. Collecting and analyzing feedback from customers, stakeholders and other teams to shape requirements, features, user stories.
Prioritizing and managing product backlog to ensure delivery within schedule and cost. Overseeing the development and implementation of testing and training plans to ensure product success and stakeholder adoption.
