This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, US Coast Guard, Industrial Department, Mechanical Group, in Baltimore, MD.
Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include: Assisting higher level worker by performing specific simple and routine tasks involving in the installing, maintaining, repairing, adjusting and testing of marine vessel mechanical equipment. Using power and hand tools to drill and mount such miscellaneous equipment as electronic gear, small pumps and controllers.
Assisting in the operating of portable power tools by holding and setting up tools. Obtaining tools, supplies and materials and delivering them to work site as directed. Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
