Key Responsibilities

Serving as a Marine Machinery Repairer WG-5334-8 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Ops (TOPS), Training Management Operations Directorate (TMO), Office of Charleston Operations (CHS), Maritime and General Training Branch (MGT), located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The primary purpose of this position is serve as a Marine Machinery Repairer responsible for assisting the Marine Machinery Mechanic. Typical duties include: Assisting with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of marine engines and machinery. Performing preventive maintenance and operational inspections on vessels and systems. Using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and test equipment to complete repairs.

Repairing and maintaining vessel support systems, trailers, and emergency response equipment. Ensuring vessels and equipment are safe, serviceable, and compliant with requirements. View common definitions of terms found in this announcement: Common Definitions.
