Job Summary

This position is located in the U.S. Department of War Washington Headquarters Services, Facilities Services Directorate (WHS), Facilities Operations & Services Div. (FOSD), Facilities Service Group (FSD), Reservation Logistics Service which provides core logistics services for the Pentagon. Position coordinates and expedites logistical flow of cargo, equipment, mail, Pentagon Force Protection Agency security material, and food shipments in accordance shipment schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:: Responsible for organizing and coordinating an effective receiving operation. Independently performs a complete range of receiving assignments. Verifies quantities received with receiving reports and takes appropriate action. Groups items together based on receiving voucher information and segregates items according to such factors as condition and type of transaction.

Extracts data from several automated tracking systems to compile reports that are used to track organization performance against established metrics. Uses the data from the various automated tracking system to find opportunities to meet or improve efficiency levels. Reviews material delivery results to insure delivery standards meet service level agreements.

Ensures needed plans, blueprints, materials, and tools are available and needed stock is obtained from proper supply locations. Obtains needed information or decisions from supervisors on problems, and answers questions from other workers on procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives.

Ensures enough work flow for work crew, and checks work while in progress and when finished to see whether the supervisor's instructions on work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines have been met.
