This position serves as the Medical Administration Specialist for the Business Administration Service within the VA Health Care System with administrative responsibility, accountability and oversight for Business Administration Service programs and activities.

The incumbent is responsible for directing all administrative functions the outpatient care for the VASNHS within the assigned outpatient clinics and supervision of the MSA staff who are in direct support of the services. The incumbent serves as the HAS Supervisor in the Outpatient clinic setting within the VASNHS Contacts with subordinate staff are to provide front-line supervision and direction.
Other contacts are to influence managers or other officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations on organization improvement or program effectiveness. Supervision involves substantial technical ability and knowledge as it relates to understanding scheduling. pre-registration. health benefits, enrollment, travel, ICB, VistA, CPRS. MvHealthVet. and telephone usage and Telephone Record Management ( TRM). etc.
Requires exceptionally high level of interpersonal skills in order to collaborate, problem solve, and negotiate with a wide range of clinical and administrative staff in order to produce a quality service.
