Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is As an Air Reserve Technician (ART) accomplishes a variety of work which determines the unit's readiness and capability to meet its wartime mission and provide training to assigned unit personnel in the accomplishment of contingency and humanitarian missions and worldwide deployment activities.

Major Duties

Unit resource advisor (RA) and member of the Financial Working Group (FWG) for budget formulation. Manage and certify the unit man day and travel vouchers programs. Manages the Government Purchase Card (GPC) and the Government Travel Card (GTC) Programs. Review, analyze and interpret compiled real time data for accuracy to assist with preparation of the Status of Resources and Training Systems (SORTS) report. Maintain interface with multiple major software information management systems that aeromedical evacuation uses. Function as the subject matter specialist for stage management, crew management and Aeromedical Evacuation Operations Team (AEOT)

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Air Reserve Technicians are part of the regular civil service and enjoy all the benefits granted to Federal employees in the competitive civil service. In addition, ARTs are required to maintain active membership in an Air Force Reserve unit so long as they occupy Air Reserve Technician positions. As members of reserve units, ARTs receive on average one weekend of military training per month. In addition, they are eligible for 15 days active duty tour each year for which military leave is granted with full civilian pay. Air Reserve units and members are subject to immediate call to active duty in mobilization to meet a national emergency. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
