What to Expect Serve as the MEF Embedded Preventive Behavioral Health Capability (EPBHC) Director, acting as senior advisor to the Commanding General on all behavioral health prevention and force preservation efforts across the region. Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of MEF-wide behavioral health prevention plans, ensuring alignment with strategy, policy, education requirements, and emerging trends.
Coordinate and synchronize prevention initiatives across commands, installations, and HQMC, functioning as the primary liaison to ensure unified communication, consistent programming, and effective regional execution. Use data-driven analysis to identify behavioral health risks, target populations, and mission readiness impacts; oversee onsite program evaluations and deliver findings to MEF leadership.
Develop regional guidance, policy, and operational procedures; prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and training materials to senior leaders and stakeholders. Provide senior-level supervision to EPBHC personnel, manage budgets and resource requirements, ensure compliance with DoD/USMC policy, and uphold high standards of professionalism, EEO, and customer service.
May work a fluctuating work schedule to complete work assignments outside of the typical work week and work hours. May travel to complete work assignments and conduct or attend presentations, conferences, and meetings. Performs other duties as assigned. This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
