The primary purpose of this position is this is a developmental position with known promotion potential to the target position of 4K9GH69-F30Z Military Pay Technician, GS-0545-07. Incumbent works closely with the supervisor in performing duties identified in the full performance standard core personnel document/core document. **TARGET POSITION GS 6 / GS 7**
Key Responsibilities
As the senior technician, monitors, reviews or initiates complex transactions where guidelines lack specificity to requirements, circumstances or problems, and/or frequently change. Serves as the primary point of contact on reserve pay actions and coordinator on resolving reserve pay matters. Manages and/or assists lower-level technicians in resolving more complicated debt collection cases. Accomplishes the more difficult customer complaints and technical military pay issues.
Assists with training lower-level clerks/technicians on miscellaneous technical tasks and various complex actions in support of military pay actions.
This position is with Air Force Global Strike Command, Department of the Air Force.
