Job Summary

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Del Rio Sector, Mission Readiness Operations, located in Del Rio, TX. Additional selections may be made for other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.

Key Responsibilities

This position uses your experience in various mission support duties that fulfill the goals and objectives of U.S. Border Patrol. Apply for this exciting opportunity to strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland. This position starts at a salary of $61,722.00 (GS-09, Step 1) to $97,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10). In this Mission Support Specialist (Generalist) role, you will carry out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, staffing and position management, administrative research, logistics, and other program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the agency. Typical duties and responsibilities include: Conducting records management for various activities, performing audits, and extracting reports.

Preparing briefings and reports for management to foster understanding and acceptance of findings and recommending future operational needs. Developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for program implementation, and developing criteria for evaluating effectiveness of current and proposed processes. Coordinating inter-related issues involving personnel management and administrative circumstances and/or situations.

Formulating, presenting, monitoring, advising, and reporting on the division and sector's workforce management programs, planning, and performance planning operations.
