Job Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MOBILE EQUIPMENT METAL WORKER (TITLE 32), Position Description Number NGD1216000 and is part of the TN ARMY National Guard.

Major Duties

As a MOBILE EQUIPMENT METAL WORKER, WG-3809-09, you will disassemble damaged mobile equipment bodies and components to determine nature and extent of damage and required repairs. Fabricate, assemble, and install a variety of components made of sheet metal for buses, trailers, shelters, and other equipment. Remove and replace damaged fenders, quarter panels, and top panels by cutting and welding with oxyacetylene and electric arc welding equipment. Repair radiators, fuel tanks, and similar items by straightening, soldering, patching, tube rodding and splicing, plugging core sections, replacing cores and pressure testing for leaks. Occasionally performs electrical repair work such as removing, splicing, insulating, soldering, and replacing cut or defective wiring on mobile equipment. Perform other duties as assigned.
